A fine story, Edd. Reminds me of my neighbor “Bamboo John” here in North Florida. He’s a retired science teacher and Vietnam vet who has Parkinson’s disease. He rides a big tricycle at night out to a paved utility right of way that runs through a swamp and catches frogs with something like your gig. He puts the frogs in an aquarium for a couple of days in front of his house so the neighborhood kids can get a close look, and then he puts them back.

The world is changing for sure, but work like yours and John’s helps to spread the love for nature. I’m a knee-jerk optimist, so I’m hopeful about that.
