One step toward better writing (and better living) for me has been acknowledging my limited understanding of the truth. I’ve always been too lazy to lie (the mental recordkeeping!), but it took me a while to realize just how subjective my memories and my beliefs are when it comes to capital-T truth.

And long ago, I used to think there was no such thing as objective truth, but my ideas about that have changed as I’ve aged.
