Such a sad ending.

I enjoyed reading this. The poems are like artifacts of the time, little windows into the daily life. But I can’t resist opining about why the poetry is bad. It’s the meter and rhyme scheme: so rollicking, so close to being a limerick. Not well suited to the serious content.
