Thanks for your thoughtful response, Stephen. I wish, wish, wish that all of our tax money spent on punishing and killing could go to helping all people here live safe, healthy, productive lives.

One thing that drives me nuts is hearing people say things like “my tax dollars aren’t going to support those lazy drug addicts/to pay someone else’s medical expenses. . .”
